The National Transportation Safety Board’s Transportation Disaster Assistance Division in coordination with Denver International Airport (DEN) will be conducting the Airport Disaster Response & Family Assistance Seminar on August 30th -31st at the City Conference Room at the Airport. This seminar is intended for airlines (commercial and air taxi), airport authorities, emergency management organizations, state and local agencies, federal partners, support volunteer organizations, local fire and law enforcement agencies, and other individuals involved in preparing or responding to major aviation disasters.
The purpose of this two-day seminar is to help prepare organizations to respond and support families and survivors of a major aviation disaster. The seminar will focus on the lessons learned from previous accidents, recommended items for local plans, and what to expect in the first 24 hours of an aviation disaster.
