Zach Hazzard

Based in Colorado, Zach Hazzard began his aviation planning career in 2018. He has primarily focused on airport statewide system planning and economic impact studies and has worked on these studies across eight states. In recent years, Zach has used his expertise in statewide aviation planning to become a leader in advanced air mobility (AAM) planning at both state and airport levels and is the lead planner and project manager for numerous state DOT and airport AAM contracts. He currently leads the AAM planning contract with the Florida DOT (FDOT), which consists of planning deliverables, guidebooks, and a local government AAM education campaign. Zach served as the deputy project manager and lead planner for the Georgia DOT (GDOT) AAM study, which was a comprehensive effort to study and plan for AAM in Georgia, and was the Woolpert lead in the California DOT (Caltrans) AAM study. In addition to DOT contracts, Zach has supported AAM initiatives at both small and large airports, including Miami-Dade Aviation Department, the Wayne County Airport Authority, and the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority.
