Keith Matas

Keith Matas is employed by the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control (DFPC), where I began my journey in 2018. With 32 years of experience in the fire service spanning from California to Colorado, I transitioned from a logistics role at DFPC to the Aviation Department. Currently, I serve as the Seat Manager, overseeing single–engine air tankers since 2022. My responsibilities include managing the state’s tanker bases, located at the Fort Collins – Loveland Airport in Northern Colorado and in Pueblo, CO, where we collaborate with the Bureau of Land Management in Rifle, CO. Outside of work, I love spending time with my wife and grandkids.
